Back-up and Compact Repair Database
To Back-Up and Compact Repair Database, do the following steps:
Select Security | Back and Compact from Me
When in Back-Up and Compact Maintenance Screen
To Perform the Process, ensure that the database is not in use and do the following:
1. Check the data suggested by CommonCents specially the name of the backed-up file.
2. Depending on your preference, you may do the following:
a. Change the folder where the backed-up file would reside; and
b. Change the name of the back- up file.
3. Click the Compact
icon.
4. Click the Yes button to denote that you wish to compact and back-up the database file reflected in the File to Compact and Backup space when the following message box is shown: Otherwise, you may click the No button.
5. Click the Yes button when CommonCents shows the following message box which clearly states the database file that shall be backed-up and the resulting database where the compacted and backed-up record shall reside and you still wish to back-up the database file. Otherwise, click the No button.
6. When the compacting and backing-up process is successfully completed, CommonCents shows the following message box: Click the OK button.
7. Click the OK button again when CommonCents shows the following message box to prompt the user that the program will exit already. The discussion for the operational and accounting related activities of a microfinance
institution include:
1. Release of Approved Loans,
2. Payment of Loans,
3. Deposits and Withdrawals of savings related to loans and related to insurance offered by the institution,
4. Management of dormant accounts, and
5. Transaction Adjustments
